Goodwill of North Georgia Partnership
We are one step closer to beginning the partnership with Goodwill of North Georgia (GING). Our goals are to help develop standard training materials and provide Chapter volunteers for technical and soft skill training classes.
GING has seven Career Centers: Woodstock, Atlanta, Duluth, Decatur, Athens, Oakwood, and Ellijay. We are seeking a training leader for each Career Center to work with the Career Center Managers to coordinate the project. More information about the Career Centers is available here.

Food Drive 2011
We surpassed our goal for 2010! Now let's do it again in 2011. The ASTD
Greater Atlanta Food Drive 2010 gathered and donated 626 food items to benefit
the Atlanta
Community Food Bank (AFCB). This year, so far, we have collected 854 items.
ACFB currently distributes nearly two million pounds of food and other donated grocery items each month to more than 700 nonprofit partner agencies in 38 counties in Metro Atlanta and North Georgia.
Please donate your food items at any Chapter, SIG or GIG meeting to help us meet our goal of 1,000 food items for 2011. Plan to bring something to each meeting you attend.
For more information on the Food Drive or volunteering, email Susan Johnson, Food Drive Project Manager.
